About the Message Center

The Message Center is an internal email Program that allows users to communicate with other Taskstream subscribers. The Message Center provides a way to compose, receive, read, store, reply to, and forward e-mails, attach documents, and create folders. You can also send Taskstream work, such as Rubrics and Lesson Plans, to other Taskstream users.

To access the Message Center and your Inbox
  1. From the main navigation bar, click Communications.
  2. On the Communications home page, click Go to the Message Center.
  3. To read a message, click the Subject link for that message.

In addition to reading your messages, the Messages tab enables you to manage the messages you have received. View Messages that are not in your Inbox

Other Message Center tabs

The other tabs of Message Center provide access to the following functions:

Compose: Create and send a new message.
To compose a new message, click the Compose tab at the top of the Message Center. Click the Select Recipients button to open the Member Locator. You may wish to search by member name, or click Select Categories/Local Areas to view all users in your organization. You can click the check box next to the folder(s) of the appropriate group of users and click Search to see a list of Taskstream subscribers in the Search Results column. Click the checkbox next to each of the individuals to whom you would like to send your message. When you have finished making your selections, click the Save and Close button in the selected members column. You can then type in a subject and compose your message in the appropriate fields. Then click Send Message.

Folder: Manage your Message Center folders. This includes a tool that enables you to permanently delete messages you no longer need. View whether or not messages sent to you via Message Center are currently set to be automatically forwarded to an external email address (address also displayed).

Preferences: These forwarding preferences are maintained in My Account: To change your notification preference, go to the My Account>Email Subscriptions tab. To change your email address, go to the My Account>Personal Information tab.
