Turnitin Originality Reports

Last Updated: Dec 26, 2017 12:57PM CST
Turnitin is a web-based subscription service used by some universities and colleges to detect and avoid plagiarism in student work. If your college or university is using the Turnitin feature within Taskstream, an Originality Report can be generated when you submit your work for evaluation.

Turnitin can generate Originality Reports on any of the following files types:
  • .pdf (Adobe Acrobat Document)
  • .htm/html (HTML)
  • .doc (Microsoft Word)
  • .ps (Postscript)
  • .rtf (Rich Text)
  • .txt (Text)
  • .docx (Word Document - Open XML)
  • .ppt (Powerpoint)
  • .pptx (Powerpoint - Open XML)

Turnitin reports can take up to 24 hours to generate. If your college or university has given you access to your Originality Report, you will be able to view the report by clicking on the Scores/Results tab of your DRF. Then click the Originality Report button within the Originality Report column to view more details.

Turnitin may not be enabled for all programs created by your school or university, even if they currently use the software in another capacity.
